Artist Biography

Susan Hall lived and worked for many years in New York City before returning to her childhood home in Point Reyes Station, California. The rich landscape of Northern California informs and inspires Hall’s enigmatic paintings and prints. She depicts moments suspended in the mysterious light of marshlands, wave-broken coastline, and tawny, rolling hills. Her painterly prints invite the viewer into beautiful landscapes and romantic visions of a disappearing world. Since 1981 Hall has made prints and monotypes at Shark’s Ink.
