Artist Biography
Beverly Rosen’s paintings told stories. These stories were from her travels and experiences. They depicted beauty, both natural and man made, social injustices, human tragedies, sadness and fears. Each of her personal icons of ladders and stairs represented a way out of and away from the difficulties represented by fences, walls, dark tunnels and shadowy suggestions of human figures. They were stories of hope.
As with all significant artists, Bev pressed the boundaries of thought and vision. She was an important player in the development of Denver’s now vibrant contemporary art scene and she constantly worked to bring contemporary art to the public. Selected Collections: Denver Art Museum, Denver, CO and the Kirkland Museum of Fine Art, Denver, CO.
