Artist Biography

“The thing that makes anything interesting to do, or something you can learn from, is your attitude when you do it.” –W.T.W.

Taking direction from this declaration, William Wiley invites viewers into a wild, exciting, and thoughtful conversation about all that makes life interesting. Utilizing his fine draftsmanship and love of freeform language associations, the artist comments on current political and social issues. Sprinkling art historical references throughout his work, Wiley invokes the Old Masters, Impressionists, and Abstract Expressionists to deliver his visual and verbal puns.
